Peas (Matar) Kachoris.. Crispy..Spicy..Yummy

This is a popular snack which can be enjoyed during tea time... You may eat these Kachori's with green chutney or sauce..

Ingredients :
1 cup maida
2tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup cold water 

For stuffing :

1/2 cup blanched Peas
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mango powder 
A pinch asafoetida (hing)
1 tsp fennel powder
1 tsp dry corriander powder 
1 tsp red chilli powder
1tsp Jeera
Oil for deep frying

Method :

In a bowl mix maida salt and oil and mix well. It will look like bread crumbs. Now knead the soft dough using cold water. Cover with a wet cloth and let it rest for 15 a pan put a tsp of oil . Add asafoetida n jeera . Now add peas and all the other ingredients for the stuffing. Cook for 2 min and switch off the flame.

Crush the mix a little so that it binds together.  Let it cool at room temperature. Make equal size balls of the dough It will make 10 to 12 balls. Put stuffing in center and seal from all sides. Press a little and make all the Kachoris and fry them till golden brown.

Few tips while making this Kachori.... make sure the oil is not very hot. Fry the Kachoris in medium hot oil and let them cook on slow flame till golden in color.  The crispy, spicy and Yummy  Matar kachoris are ready to eat..
