Instant Jeera Butter Dahi Wada


I made Jeera Butter Dahi Wada for kids today.  This does not require cooking or frying and can be made instantly...

When you have guests at home and you want to treat them with something special do try out this Yummy dish and receive loads of appreciation from them.

Enjoy and relish the chilled Dahi Wada on a hot summer day..

Ingredients :

Jeera Butter - 4
Thick curds - 2 cups (chilled)
Finely cut coriander - 2 tbsp
Fresh cut coconut pieces - 1 tbsp
Sugar -2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Finely cut Green Chillies - 2 tsp
Grated Ginger - 2 tsp
Mustard & Asafoetida for tempering
Ghee - 2 tsp
Luke warm water
Jeera & Red Chilli Powder

Method :

Mix sugar and salt in the curd.  Add coconut & cut coriander leaves to it and keep in the fridge.

In a pan, add 2 tsp of ghee and put mustard seeds & Asafoetida into it.  Add the chillies and ginger and saute for some time.  Add this tempering to the curd.

In a bowl take luke warm water.  Soak the Jeera Butter for 1 to 2 seconds and squeeze the water out and lay it in the serving dish.  Pour the chilled tempered curd on the Jeera butter.  Decorate with coriander leaves, Jeera and Red Chilli Powder and serve it chilled.
