Potato Halwa / Aloo ka Halwa
We can make
various dishes with Potato. It is a common
vegetable which is always available at our homes.
Can you believe
that this vegetable can be used to make a yummy dessert? During Mahashivratri I made this dessert and
it was awesome!
It is also a
quick dessert you can make for your guest and I bet they will appreciate you
for making this dish :)
Ingredients :
Boiled, peeled & grated Potatoes - 2 cups
Sugar
- 1 cup
Milk
- 1 cup
Ghee
- 1/2 cup
Cardamom
Powder - 1 tsp
Saffron
- 5 strands
Method :
Take a non stick
pan and add ghee into it. Add the grated potatoes and cook on low flame till
the potatoes are light brown in colour. Add 1 cup hot milk and further cook
this till it becomes thick. Add the
sugar and again cook this mixture till it is thick. Soak saffron in little milk and add this in
the halwa. Add Cardamon powder and mix
well.
You may decorate
with dry fruits and serve it hot!
