Pulse Appam - Packed with nutrition
My mother
used to make Unni Appam which is a sweet dish made during Vishu (festival
celebrated on 14th April in Kerala)... They are sweet Appam's which are sweet
and made with Rice powder, Jaggery, Banana & Coconuts... Even the Prasad distributed at our temple is
Unni Apppam and I love the taste.
Yesterday,
I made Pulse Appam which is a salty & spicy version of Appams where in I
added Pulses and grains and a bowl of Spinach
and few Coriander leaves which added colour and of course packed with nutrients!
I prepared Pulse Appe, which is surely a
treat to the taste buds at the same time its wholesome, healthy and very
nutritious!
I made the batter and made few Appams for kids in
the night yesterday. They are the ones
who are my best judges at home as if they demand for more then I know it is a super
hit dish :). I made the batter yesterday
and kept it in the refrigerator and also made it this morning for breakfast.
