Onion Gravy Sabji
I am sure you
all will agree that buying Vegetables for the entire week on a weekend is the
best way to have a tension free week ahead!
It does happen
that on a Friday morning / evening you realize that the fridge is empty and most
of the Vegetables that were stocked are over :(. Now you keep wandering what Sabzi to make...
have you ever gone through such a situation??
Well, we all
have Onion stocked in large quantities at our homes... This can come to your
rescue next time, you face the above scenario :) So chill and note down this recipe...
Ingredients :
Large Onion 2 to
4
Red Chilli
powder - 1.5 tsp
Kala or Goda
Masala - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp
Corriander -
Jeera Powder - 2 tsp
Groundnut powder
- 3 tbsp
Water - 1/2 cup
Salt to taste
Mustard, Cumin Seeds & Asafetida for tempering
Oil - 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Method :
Cut the onions
into 4 large pieces 1 by one and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan and put Mustard, Cumin Seeds & Asafetida. Then add all other masala and put the cut
onion and saute for a while. Now add
half cup water and cook it till the onions are tender. Add the groundut powder and mix well. You can put some more water if required to
loosen the gravy. Garnish with Coriander
leaves and serve hot with Chapati. Enjoy
your meal!
