Dal Soup - Low Calorie Nutritious Soup
A big bowl of freshly
made soup will not only satisfy your
hunger but will also help keep you fuller for longer :) The other advantage of making Soup at home is
you know exactly what goes into your dish!
Making soup is not
that difficult... All that you need to do is boil your ingredients in a little
stock and blend. It is really that
simple :)
Dear friends, next time you
cut vegetables do not throw away carrot and onion ends, mushroom and celery and tomato trimmings,
stalks from greens, etc. You can
use them to make your broth which is essential while making your soup.
This soup is a low calorie
nutritious soup made from Moong dal and veggies. My family enjoyed this simple soup that I
prepared recently.
Ingredients :
Yellow Moong
Dal or Sprouted Moong - 3 tbsp
Grated
ginger - 1 tsp
Chopped Garlic
cloves - 2
Tomato - 1
Carrot -
1/2
Bottle
Gourd (Louki) - 1 small piece
Onion - 1
small
Chopped Beans
- 2
Water - 2
cups
Salt to
taste
Pepper
Powder
Lemon
Juice
Chopped
Coriander
Method :
Wash the dal and add all
the chopped vegetables to it and 2 cups of water and cook it in a pressure
cooker till one whistle. Allow this to
cool. Blend it in a mixer and strain
through a sieve. You will get a smooth
stock.
Add salt and pepper powder
to this stock and boil it. Garnish with
Coriander leaves, add a dash of lemon juice and serve hot!
