Quick Strawberry Milkshake
Ria finished
with her school on 7th April 16... From 8th onwards she started with her summer
vacation... We visited Panchgani and
Mahabaleshwar from 8th to 10th April. It
was a long weekend also. In spite of all
the reviews on net, Rajesh wanted to experience the stay through OYO
rooms. I must say that my intuition
turned out to be true... When we reached the hotel, the lady said there is no
reservation in your name. There were
some talks between the hotel and OYO representative and they made an arrangement
in Mahabaleshwar for us which was not a good property. So next time you plan to avail of the OYO
room facility, double check before you leave for your destination :).
My health
was not very good when we were leaving for Panchgani and I guess it was food
poisoning :(. Non availability of the
hotel really got me irritated. I had
taken medicine and felt a little better towards the evening. We went to the nearby Market and did some
window shopping. I could not eat much
and survived on soup that evening:(.
The next day
felt much better! We went to see few
points, clicked loads of pictures and then finally headed to Mapro Garden. We spent hours and hours sitting amidst the
beautiful flowers and enjoying the lovely atmosphere there... We had lunch at
Mapro garden itself. Towards the evening
we visited Parsi point... there was lovely breeze there and I just did not want
to return back to the room... We returned back to Mahabaleshwar and had dinner
at one of the hotels in the market area by 8:30 pm... Ria & I enjoyed different types of Gola's and Ice
Creams...We did some shopping that evening and the next day returned back to
Pune. On the way back, we picked up
loads of crush and jelly sweets from Mapro Garden.. we enjoyed eating Mulberries
and also got lots of Strawberries packed for family and friends.
Ria is
having a great time now and enjoys making her milkshakes and Kulfi's her way :)
I will share
with you a quick recipe of Strawberry Milkshake which I prepared and all of us
enjoyed the fresh fruit milkshake at home!
Ingredients :
Strawberries - 15 - 25
Sugar - 2 tbs (you can adjust as per your taste)
Chilled Milk - 2 cups
Strawberry Crush - 2 tbs
Ice Cubes
Method :
Take the glass that you would serve the drink and keep it
in the freezer for 5 to 8 minutes before you serve the drink.
Wash the strawberries and cut them into pieces. Add sugar to the fruit and blend it well in
the mixer. Once the fruit is blend well,
add the chilled milk and strawberry crush and blend again. In the frozen glass, pour the milkshake and
decorate with strawberry and serve chilled!
