Banana Ice Cream - For Diabetics
Fruits are one of the finest
creations of nature and such a delight for a human being... How can we stay
away from them? They are rich source of
vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants... So please have them in different forms
:)
Avoid eating fruits with cooked
food or after a meal... You can have a fruit first thing in the morning / mid
morning or evening!!... If you love eating your fruit after a meal, you may
keep a gap of preferably 3 hours after your meal.
I am sharing a recipe from the
Freedom from Diabetes book.. A diabetic person can add Banana to his diet in
limited quantity especially if you are following a proper diet including loads of greens, sprouts, smoothies and raw vegetables etc. I was very
excited to try out this recipe and have been waiting to actually enjoy this
treat... Banana Ice Cream... I can eat Ice Cream 365 days...
Even though I am having a bad
cold, it didn't stop me from having this divine treat yesterday evening.. :))
Just few ingredients and here
you go....
Ingredients
:
Ripe
Banana - 4 or more
Cinnamon
powder - 1/4th tsp
Walnuts
/ Almonds
Raisins
or any chopped fruit of your choice (for garnishing)
Method :
Place
peeled halved bananas in a box in the freezer.
After 2 days or later, take them out and put in a blender or food
processor till you get a smooth creamy ice cream.
I added
the Cinnamon powder and almonds along with the bananas.
Garnish
with Raisins or any chopped fruit of your choice.. Serve immediately and enjoy!!
