Cucumber Lemonade Cooler
An essential in most salads the flavor of
refreshing cucumber or
Kheera entices everyone in the
summer heat. This versatile vegetable is made up to 95% water, which makes it
naturally low in calories, fat and cholesterol. When we were kids, my mother used to cut the
cucumber into 4 halves and apply some salt & chilli powder to it and we used
to enjoy eating it... Yummm!!
Today, I am going to share a Cucumber Lemonade Cooler
which is such a refreshing drink that you will be hooked once you try. This is
an ultimate summer beverage. A true summer cooler, this
Cucumber and Lemonade Drink is like a rejuvenating spa visit for your cells!
The mild flavour of cucumber together with the peppy taste of mint, the tang of
lemon will refresh you!!
You can make it in large quantity, maybe overnight
to chill it for long hours and relish the following day. A large glass of
cucumber lemonade at breakfast will definitely zing-up your mornings!
Let's make the drink....
Ingredients :
1 cucumber peeled and cut in small cubes
to make about 2 cups
About 8 mint leaves
Small piece of ginger
3 cups water
1 tablespoon lime juice adjust to taste
3 tablespoons sugar adjust to taste (I
used honey instead)
1/4 teaspoon rock salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper to taste
Ice cubes & basil leaves to serve
Method :
In a blender, puree the
cucumber, mint, ginger, salt, pepper and sugar. Pour the puree through a fine
mesh strainer into a bowl. Use the spoon to press the solids to take out all
the juice. There will be about 1-1/4 cups of cucumber juice. Add the lime juice
and water mix it well. Fill the glasses with ice cubes and pour the cucumber
drink.
Cucumber Lemonade cooler is
ready to be served. Enjoy!
