Paneer Chaat

Today's recipe is dedicated to all the Chaat Fans :)... I cannot resist when I pass by a Pani Puri Joint and would definitely have a plate...but if you really want to have several plates of them, you need to make them at home and you bet this is healthy and pocket friendly too!

I am sure many of you enjoy Paneer in different forms of curry, Paratha's etc.  Not sure if you have had this dish in any of the street shops or restaurants....I made Paneer Chaat last week and it turned out to be a delicious snack.

Paneer combined with tangy tomatoes, crispy onions, some chillies to add spice, a dash of lemon and addition of peppy chaat masala made it all the more exciting! I am sure, you will love the total experience while you enjoy eating this snack!

Ingredients :

Fresh Paneer : 300 gms (cubed and roasted till golden brown)
Corn Flour - 2 tbsp
Onion - 2 finely chopped
Tomatoes - 2 large finely chopped
Green Chillies - 3 finely chopped
Cumin Powder - 1.5 tsp
Chaat Masala - 2 tsp (adjust as per taste)
Aloo Bhujia / Sev - 1 small cup
Oil - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Lime Juice
Coriander leaves finely chopped

Method :

First of all add corn flour to the paneer and put it in a tawa or kadai and roast the same in oil till golden brown.  Keep it aside.  Now,  cut Onion, Tomato & Green Chillies and put this in a container.  Add the cumin powder, chaat masala, salt and mix well.  Now add the roasted Paneer to this and toss it well.  Add Aloo Bhujia Sev to this chaat and sprinkle coriander leaves & squeeze a dash of lemon and serve it with Chai !!
