Spicy Mango Coriander Chutney

Chutney with Bhakri and a piece of Onion and lime is one of the simple but heavenly combinations that I enjoy eating even if there is no vegetable available.

There are different types of chutneys that go well with Bhakri which is made from Jowar, Bajri or Rice Flour.  Thecha is dry version of chutney which is very spicy… Red Coriander Chutney again a very spicy chutney.  I would be sharing the recipes of these chutneys shortly.

In this month due to the lockdown we were unable to go to the market but I got to buy one last piece of raw mango available with the vegetable vendor who had come to my society premises.

I made this quick and easy Spicy Mango Coriander chutney which ensures that you will end up eating more than your quota of food… So time to share the simple recipe with all of you.

Ingredients :

½ piece of Raw Mango – cut into medium pieces
1 or 2 green chillies
3 to 5 garlic cloves
Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – a handful
Red Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Small piece of jaggery (optional)
Tamarind – 1 small piece (optional)

Method :

Take a mixer jar and add in cut mangoes, chillies, garlic, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, jaggery and tamarind which are optional.  Add salt to taste and grind to a fine mixture.  Squeeze lemon juice adjust the salt and serve this chutney with dosa / bhakri / chapati etc.
