Easy Pachak Mukhwas /Digestive Mouth Freshener

Most of the Indian households will have Mukhwas i.e. mouth freshener which is consumed by all in the family after a heavy and scrumptious meal which helps aid digestion.   The seeds used to make this mouth freshener helps in solving most of your digestion problems.

I always get tempted to buy Mukhwas that are sold at various stalls and end up buying the sweet version of Mukhwas and believe me we all finish them in days and eat it like dessert after lunch / dinner.

I would be sharing a salted version of Mukhwas which not only keeps the mouth refreshingly fresh but also aids in digestion and keeps indigestion at bay.

It is quite simple and easy to make this mouth freshener… so are you ready to make this with me??

Ingredients:

Flax Seeds – ¼ cup
Ajwain (Carrom Seeds) – ¼ cup
Asafetodia (hing) -1/4 tsp
Black Salt to taste
Normal Salt to taste
Roasted White Sesame Seeds (otpional) 2 tbs

Method :

In a mixer jar coarsely grind the Flax seeds and transfer to a bowl.  In another bowl add in Ajwain, hing and black salt, required salt and mix well.

Take a Kadai and transfer the Ajwain mixture and saute this well for 2 to 3 minutes till you get a nice aroma.  To this mixture add in the coarsely ground flax seeds and saute for another 2 to 3 minutes till everything becomes crunchy.  Add the Roasted White Sesame Seeds to this mixture.  Cool this completely and transfer to a glass bottle and consume this after your meal to help solve your digestion problem.

This can be stored upto 1 month in air tight container.
