Stuffed Potato Idli - A unique Snack!!
We organize the Ganesh Festival in
our society and the 7 days seems to be like we have a VIP guest whom we take
care of aka our Ganpatiji :).
To add colour to this festival, we
have various events that are organized for all...Like every year, this year
also we had the Fun Fare Stall where members of the society, put up various
food stalls... My daughter Ria declared to everyone that she is also putting up
a stall along with her friend Veena. She
wanted me to make Chutney Sandwich for the stall... but being a person who keeps
experimenting with various dishes I told her that I would make Stuffed Potato
Idli for the Stall which I had made few times at home.
The day of the event, we started
preparations early evening and I finished making the dish well on time! Packed some in a Casserole and send it with
her down... Ria was assigned the task of collecting the money, Veena was to
serve the tomato sauce and I helped them with serving the Idli :) The Idli's
were served piping hot as I steamed them and got them down in between
intervals. Many of the society members came
and appreciated the taste of the dish... some also wanted to place future
orders. The sale was 100%. There were many who wanted more but we were out of
stock :). I distributed the share of the
money collected to both the girls and they were very happy!
Veena's mother later placed an
order for this dish for her house function and their guests also enjoyed the
dish which I served with a Coriander & Pudina Chutney.
Time for you to jot down the
